Reunion of AI Pioneers at Google
A key aspect of this agreement is the return of Character.AI co-founders Noam Shazeer and Daniel De Freitas to Google. Both Shazeer and De Freitas were former Google employees before venturing out to establish Character.AI. Their return to Google marks a significant reunion, as they join Google DeepMind’s research team, bringing with them their expertise in large language models and machine learning.
